That’s correct, module multi-station! Presenting M-Tek’s 3rd generation multi-station incorporating all of the features our customers have requested over the years while providing the safest, most sanitary and well thought out M.A.P. packaging machine of its kind on the market.

 

Available in 2, 3, 4 or more stations allowing for unprecedented flexibility and now with higher M.A.P. packaging speeds. Each module includes its own infeed as well as outfeed belt. Start with 2 or three stations and easily add a 3rd or fourth module in minutes as they interface and communicate by simply connecting a water-tight cable.

The Frame

 

The frame is made from solid 7-gauge polished stainless steel (2B finish). No tube, nothing beaded, wiring on stand-offs. Fast drain. High-pressure, high-temperature caustic wash from any direction. It’s USDA stainless steel construction & sanitary blue plastics. We build it to an IP69 specification assuring you IP67 compliance.

Please note the seal bar and how it is engineered. The buttresses (or curves) are designed to assure zero warp, bend, or deflection when closing. Wrinkles are never an issue, in fact, the Mark-III can seal through eight layers of film. Not seen is M-Tek’s unique lock-over-cam action when the seal bar closes. We do not rely on air pressure alone to seal your bag as air-pressure by itself is not repeatable.

Smart Belt
Infeed

Instead of utilizing an inexpensive approach of a continuous running infeed belt with mechanical stops … as this approach greatly increase the chance of cases tipping over as well as unnecessary wear on the bottom of the case – M-Tek utilizes Smart-Belt technology at each infeed station. We sense & detect and track where a case is and stop/start that infeed belt accordingly.

Seal Bar
Safety

Seal bars on many competitive multi-station machines generally move up and down with a pneumatic cylinder. If, only the pneumatic cylinder holds that seal bar in place, a sudden loss of air pressure may present a significant hazard to an unprepared operator as the heavy seal bar may immediately drop. M-Tek addresses this not too uncommon issue in this photo. Please note that a well-built stainless-steel seal bar weighs hundreds of pounds. We also encourage you to also watch the short video. The mechanism is referred to as a Self-Locking Safety Ratcheted seal bar lock.

 

Note the ratchets vertically positioned. Now note the pneumatic air cylinder. The locks are spring-loaded. That cylinder requires air pressure to un-lock the seal bar. A loss of air results in the seal bar immediately locking in place.

Vacuum Pump &
Valve Bank Box

You’re looking at the front of the machine and below one of the seal stations. In the top-right photo, we have the pivoting box closed. Simply loosen the two yellow clamps, and a box opens (bottom photo) revealing the vacuum pump. Shown is a 38 CFM water-ring pump.

 

Dry-vane vacuum pumps rated at 38 CFM are standard. Water-ring vacuum pump is an additional charge and ideal if you tend to suck in product. PIAB air-driven pumps available but not recommended due to their high energy usage.

Shown is the rear of one of the module stations. The control-box door has been removed for photographic purposes. Directly right of the box we have the upper stainless-steel drive motor and lower drive for the discharge belt. To the right we have a second station. We see the location for utility drops.
